Know that the donor was a medical student of scandinavian descent. Probably born around 1922 to 1926, with original family from Norway or Sweden. DNA tests confirm this result.
Mother requested scandinavian donor preferably norwegian like herself.
Dr. Pendleton Tompkins ran the program and limited donors to medical students only. Discretion was vital then. He was one of the original members of the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society that formed in 1953. It wasn't called the stanford fertility clinic at the time and the medical school was located in San Francisco at the hospital there.
This information was confirmed by Dr. Roy Cauwet of Atherton,CA in Sept 2012.
